Warranty Service
Our X-Series lasers, Alpha Series lasers and Professional Series Silver laser pointers carry a 90 day warranty. The warranty period is counted from the date on which customer receives the product. If the product is defective within the warranty period NOVAlasers will repair or replace the product at no charge. The only exception is if the damage occurred as a result of intentional disassembly or modification of the laser or if the laser was subjected to excessive shock or impact in which case the warranty has been voided. Customer is responsible for the costs of shipping the product back to NOVAlasers for warranty repair. NOVAlasers will cover the costs of shipping the product back to the customer via regular postal airmail service. If a faster method of shipping the product back from warranty service is required it is the customer’s responsibility to contact NOVAlasers in order to make arrangements.
Shipping the Product Back for Warranty Service
If the product should arrive non-functional or defective or become non-functional or defective within the warranty period customer must contact NOVAlasers promptly and within the warranty period of the product. NOVAlasers will assist customer to potentially remedy the problem without a return. If the problem persists NOVAlasers will issue a Return Authorization number for the return package as well as detailed instructions as to how to package and ship the product back to NOVAlasers.
PLEASE NOTE: NOVAlasers cannot accept returned packages without a Return Authorization number clearly displayed on the package. All non-authorized returns may be Returned-to-Sender at NOVAlasers’ discretion.

We cannot be held accountable for packages lost during shipping from the customer to NOVAlasers. It is the customer’s responsibility to insure the package for the correct amount, put a trace on the package should it take longer than expected, and to claim the insurance payout should the package go missing.

Out-of-Warranty Service
If a product should become defective outside of the warranty period NOVAlasers will assist the customer in repairing the product, charging the repair costs only, as well as shipping costs of shipping the product back to the customer. The customer is responsible for the costs of shipping the product back to NOVAlasers. The repair costs are calculated based on the components and time needed in order to repair the product. NOVAlasers does not make profit on out-of-warranty repairs, providing this as a service to our customers. If you require out-of-warranty service please contact NOVAlasers to make arrangements.

Returns
NOVAlasers guarantees that the product received by the customer will in appearance as well as in all specifications be as advertised on our website (www.novalasers.com) or by our staff either through email or over the telephone. If the product does not meet advertised specifications as determined by NOVAlasers it will be repaired or replaced under warranty service.
NOVAlasers cannot be held accountable for the suitability of our product for particular applications. It is the responsibility of the customer to purchase the product/s that will be suitable for their required application. NOVAlasers will do all that we can to assist customers in choosing appropriate product/s however we do not guarantee refunds on any of our products.
Exception on all X-Series and Alpha Series lasers: All X-Series and Alpha Series lasers have a 7 day money back guarantee. If customer is not satisfied with their X-Series or Alpha Series laser for any reason they can return it for a full refund minus the shipping costs, no questions asked. The 7 days are marked from the time the customer receives the laser at their location, verified by tracking or service standard information, to the time that the laser is picked up for return to NOVAlasers.
Prior to sending back a return, customer must contact NOVAlasers to receive a Return Authorization Number. NOVAlasers cannot accept returned packages without a Return Authorization number clearly displayed on the package. All non-authorized returns may be Returned-to-Sender by NOVAlasers’ shipping/receiving department.
Shipping
If a product is not marked as out-of-stock on our website and is ordered before 10 am Eastern Time, it will be shipped either the same day that the order was placed or on the following business day, depending on work-load in the shipping department. Please allow an additional day for shipping the product out during the busy holiday season.
If you require your order to arrive by a given date please contact us to make arrangements.
PLEASE NOTE: If a customer orders overnight shipping before 10 am Eastern Time on a business day, the product will be shipped by an overnight shipping method the same day. If the order is placed either after 10 am Eastern Time or on a non-business day (this includes weekends and holidays) the order will be shipped the following business day by an overnight shipping method, unless NOVAlasers has been contacted and other arrangements have been made.
If a product is marked as out-of-stock on our website the lead time for most products is 2-4 weeks. The order will be shipped as soon as we have the item in-stock. In order to receive an estimated time of delivery for your order please contact us.

Delivery Guarantee
NOVAlasers guarantees that our products can be delivered to your location, if we have accepted your order. We guarantee that packages will not be seized by customs or we will send out a replacement package. This does not include mistakes made by the shipping companies.
Taxes and Import Duties
All of our products are shipped from our facilities in

. We only charge taxes on an order if it is being shipped to a Canadian location. If the order is being shipped to a non-Canadian address please be advised that your government may impose duties and taxes on the import. PLEASE NOTE: All of our prices advertised on our website are in US Dollars. Our higher powered >5mW lasers should not be used as pointing devices nor are these devices suitable for individuals under 18 years old. By placing an order with us you agree that you are at least 18 years of age.

Check payments by US or Canadian checks are accepted. Please note that Canadian checks are held for 5 business days and US checks are held for 15 business days. Your order will be released for shipping only after the funds from the check have cleared.

Postal Money Order payments by US or Canadian postal money orders are accepted. There is no hold on the funds through this method of payment and your order will be released for shipping as soon as we have redeemed the funds from the postal outlet. Postal money orders can be obtained by going to your local postal office. Please be sure to specifically ask for an International US-Dollar Postal Money Order. PLEASE NOTE: only postal money orders with the correct amount in US Dollars can be accepted. NOVA Membership and LightYears Reward Points, Referral Program and Media Submissions
NOVA Membership
To become a NOVA Member a customer must purchase one of NOVAlasers handheld lasers (X-Series with membership package or Alpha Series). After customer has made their purchase they will receive their exclusive member discount code via email. Within one business day of NOVAlasers processing the customer’s order NOVAlasers will add the customer’s account to NOVAlasers’ member database in order to activate the customer’s discount code. Early addition to the database is possible if NOVAlasers is contacted by the customer.
After customer’s account has been added to NOVAlasers’ database customer will receive 15% off on any purchases of products from NOVAlasers Accessories, Optics and
Crystal
product categories. Member prices are listed in red on product details pages and in the product index. To receive discount customer must use the same account that they purchased their handheld laser on and must enter their discount code during checkout. Customer’s discount code will be valid on an unlimited number of future purchases.
PLEASE NOTE: In the event that customer returns all of the handheld lasers (X-Series and/or Alpha Series) for final return for any reason, and as such possesses no handheld lasers purchased from NOVAlasers, the customer’s NOVA Membership will be revoked and the customer will no longer be able to use their discount code. In order to again become a NOVA Member a customer must purchase one of NOVAlasers handheld lasers (X-Series with membership package or Alpha Series).
LightYears Reward Points
Both NOVA Members and regular customers receive LightYears on any of their purchases which are eligible.
LightYears are converted as follows: 100 LightYears = 1 dollar to spend in NOVAlasers’ store. To check how many LightYears a customer has, customer can login to their account.
The number of LightYears that can be earned on a product is listed in the product details pages. LightYears add up in customer’s account any time they make a purchase and can be redeemed on any purchase that the customer chooses. Any number of LightYears can be redeemed by customer on any purchase as they so choose. LightYears cannot be used toward shipping and handling charges or taxes, if any.
PLEASE NOTE: In the event that customer returns a product/s for a final return the purchase of which credited their account with LightYears, the LightYears will be debited from their account by NOVAlasers, regardless of whether the LightYears have already been redeemed or not. If the LightYears have already been redeemed by customer their account will still be debited and may go into negative LightYears.
PLEASE NOTE: Any orders placed by redeeming LightYears may be held by NOVAlasers for security purposes, in which case customer will be contacted.
Referral Program
For every new customer that an existing customer refers to NOVAlasers’ store the existing customer will receive 10% worth of the new customer’s first purchase in LightYears, when this purchase is made during the same visit that the new customer registers in NOVAlasers’ store.
PLEASE NOTE: In the event that the new referred customer returns the product/s they purchased during their first visit for a final return the purchase of which credited the referrer’s account with LightYears, the LightYears will be debited from the referrer’s account by NOVAlasers, regardless of whether the LightYears have already been redeemed or not. If the LightYears have already been redeemed by referrer their account will still be debited and may go into negative LightYears.

Media Submissions
NOVAlasers accepts photos, videos and experimental write-up submissions for publication on our website. Photos and videos will be featured in our Media Gallery while experimental write-ups will be posted in our Laser Info section. Please submit any of your work directly to our email at service@novalasers.com.
LightYears are allocated as follows:
Each photo: 50 LightYears
Each video: 300 LightYears
Each experimental write-up great: 2500 LightYears
Each experimental write-up good: 1500 LightYears
Each experimental write-up ok: 500 LightYears

Rules and Regulations for Experimental Write-Up Submissions:
1. Anyone may submit an experimental write-up. You do not have to be a NOVAlasers customer, however you must create an account with our store (free of charge) in order to be credited LightYears in that account.
2. The lasers used in the experimental write-up do not have to be purchased from NOVAlasers however advertising (including the use of brand names) competitor’s products will not be accepted nor can NOVAlasers accept photos or videos in which a competitor's product is shown (photos or videos which include the housing of the competing laser product). Describe the lasers required in your experiment only according to general criteria such as wavelength and output power. If branding or advertising competitor’s products is used in the experimental write-up NOVAlasers may request that this be removed prior to posting your experimental write-up. If you do not agree you may withdraw your submission.
3. Any submission with content stolen or plagiarized from other sources (including other websites) will be immediately rejected. Please do not steal content or images from others.
4. Language and content deemed offensive will not be accepted.
5. NOVAlasers reserves the right to reject any submission at any time.
6. NOVAlasers will not modify the content of your submission without prior consent from you, however we do reserve the right to edit the spelling and grammar in your submission. NOVAlasers may also make formatting changes necessary to post your submission on our website.
7. You will be credited as the author of your submission.
8. NOVAlasers claims no ownership or control over any Content submitted by users of NOVAlasers. The author retains all patent, trademark, and copyright to all Content submitted, and is responsible for protecting those rights, but is not entitled to the help of the NOVAlasers staff in protecting such Content. The user submitting any Content represents that the user has all rights necessary to submit such Content (and for NOVAlasers to serve such Content) without violation of any intellectual property or other rights or any laws or regulations.
